Nevada 1000 returns to off-road card in'05
Best in the Desert has scheduled three races which could possibly start or involve Nye County during the 2005 season.
The Terrible's Town 250, billed as the richest off-road race in Nevada, will be contested April 29-30-May 1, with the starting line at Johnnie.
_ The McMillin Nevada 1000 is scheduled July 6-7-8-9-10. According to information on www.bitd.com, "every hotel room in Beatty and Tonopah have been reserved" for off-road race officials, teams and fans.
_ The TSCO Vegas-to-Reno race is Oct. 6-7-8. This year, Johnnie was the starting point and Dayton, in northern Nevada, was the finish line.
The Henderson Terrible's 300 is being contested this weekend in Clark County.
The first 2005 race is the Golden West Cycle Parker 250 in Arizona Jan. 7-8.
The Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker 425 is Feb. 4-5-6, with cars and trucks being featured.
The Pro Circuit Nevada 200 Trail Ride is by invitation only and offers no points; it is April 1-2-3.
The 2005 Henderson 300 is Dec. 2-3-4, with points offered in all classes.
