AMA Pro ATV Motocross Series Goes to California for Round Two
Surprise first-round winner Jeremy Lawson (#16) hopes to repeat aboard his Honda at the second round of the AMA Pro ATV Motocross Series March 24-25 at the Glen Helen track in San Bernardino California.
The Pro series is part of the ATVA ITP/Moose National Motocross Championship. Last year, Honda rider Joe Byrd (#7), John Natalie (#13), also aboard a Honda, and Suzuki's Doug Gust (#55) were on the podium. Each of them hopes to claim the top spot this year. But there are a bunch of young Pros gunning for the win as well, besides Lawson. Others include Honda's Kieth Little (#12), Chad Wienen (#44) aboard a Honda, and Ruiss Shumaker (#68), who rides a Suzuki.
Besides facing world-class competition, riders are vying for contingency money offered by Kawasaki for riders on its new KFX 450R, Honda, and ITP.
